Stand Your Grounds is a map of coffee shops in the Bay Area that actually care about their customers and their communities. I built it in response to the recent news regarding Philz Coffee's new private-equity owners' decision to ban pride flags from their shops, which, as a Bay Area institution, is both tone-deaf and a slap in the face to the entire region.
This app was built using standard web technologies by Rylee Corradini. It's a Progressive Web App, meaning you can install it directly to your tablet/phone screen/desktop like a regular app, and it will behave more or less the same as one, and save its data in your device storage.
Most art assets are from SVG Repo; the map is powered by Google Maps. Individual shop data is hand-curated by me with contributions from other coffee lovers who want the world to suck less.
